The "Vanessa" Gown

This creation was made from a beautiful beaded and heavy satin gown. There was plenty of fabric to use in this gown and still enough to make a boy's outfit if needed someday. We used the beaded and embroidered bottom as the bottom of the skirt. Since the bottom was heavily soiled, we had to remove about an inch from the hemline. The trim from the bodice was used to detail the neckline of the dress and the bonnet and for an extra finish to tie it all in, beads and sequins were applied to the front of the bodice. We do a lot of our finishing by hand and we line the entire gown so no itchy seams next to baby's sensitive skin! We think the gown looks exquisite!
