January's Creation

Our latest confection is on it's way to Michigan today. We received Jen's gown and the first thing we do is check out the style of the dress and try to incorporate the details into the christening dress and bonnet. The bodice of the dress had these soft tucks with a decorative detail in the front. We decided to use the front tucks and the sash tucks on the bodice of the dress, placing the decorative detail in the same area. The bottom of the dress has 3 layers, the same as the wedding gown. We used the same soft tucks on the bonnet. Usually the mom's wedding gown shows what style they would prefer, simpler wedding gown, simpler christening gown and so on. And on to our next project, a customer who will have her daughter and her godson's gowns made from her wedding gown.
