Wintry Posting

So, it's been a loooong, cold, snowy winter here in NJ, but I'm thankful I don't live in Boston. Keeping busy during our "down" season means creating items to sell at our local Craft Boutique "Your Hearts Desire". We like to try new things and see how they fly so we made quilted table runners and baskets to add to our usual customer favorites. It's also a little break from all things baby.

But not completely. I decided to try a few new styles of baby shoes to add to our repertoire.

The adorable little ruffled ones I found a pattern for and changed up a bit, covering the elastic with fabric and completely encasing the seams with a soft lining. You can go to:

Gabriella

Continuing on with the updates....Mom sent us this gorgeous gown to create a christening dress, headband, shoes and panties for Gabriella. Mom chose puffy sleeves, which we created out of the chiffon and a thinner headband because of all her hair. We couldn't have asked for a better model!

Creation Insights

We're currently working on a new christening gown, bonnet and shoes using a wedding gown that has rows of clear beading on it. We like to use these on baby's gown and hand sew them on by hand. We've "borrowed" the idea from another gown of placing several small beads on the covered buttons to add a little glam. We've also created little flowers for the custom shoes using the large and small beads.
